Roy, thanks for clearing that up. I was answering from the phone and couldn't really see specs for that printer or exactly was the install commands were called. It looks like the 9700 still uses 10 channels so is it possible to convert to a Piezography systemabd still work as as intended, although with lower overall dpi 1440x1440 rather than 2880x1440. Still, a 9800 or 9880 might be a better bet (and you're still doing better than the 9900 style print head) RB
