QTR-Quadtone RIP

I do not know what profile you are using so I’m not sure if I can comment correctly but if it is under-inking than it will certainly show issues. I print negs with massive ink overlaps and 6+ shades of gray. I generally see issues around alignment if less than even 5 shades of gray . .
