Tom, I have often experienced the same problem with an Epson 2100 when using HPR and QTR. Epson papers are less of a problem and, as you say, with the Epson driver there is no problem. It seems to be caused by a slight slippage in the paper feed, possibly due to some coating transfer from paper to drive rollers. It usually occurs after a few prints have been successfully completed. Feeding from the rear feed slot is always recommended for thicker papers. I have generally overcome the problem when feeding the lighter HPR paper (188g/m^2) from the top by encouraging the paper feed by hand with a gentle initial push. The first calibration I ran printed just fine but now the second print hangs or goes all the way through. Sometimes if I cancel the print job and reboot it will work but most times the same thing happens. I just cancelled the job and tried to print an image and it printed just fine so I tried to print the calbration print again and it hangs. However sometimes images have the problem too. My 1280 used to do it too. I can't determine a pattern to the problem. When I print with Qimage through the Epson driver it always prints correctly. Has this happend to anybody?
