QTR-Quadtone RIP

I get this problem with the Epson driver regardless of paper or 
thickness. Sometimes I have to repeatedly cancel the printing job in the 
printer queue, shut off the 2200 for enough time to clear the memory, 
then restart the printer and send the job anew - in that order. Often 
only one iteration of the sequence clears the printer, but sometimes it 
just won't go away and an uninstall/reinstall of the driver is 
necessary. Note again, that this happens with the Epson driver, not 
exclusively with QTR, in fact, I can't remember it happening in QTR, but 
maybe that's just my memory and the fact that I don't print with QTR all 
that frequently!
