Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Re: Print-Tool No Curves Displayed

Thanks again for the time taken of sending me advice on clearing the issue.

I went back through the set up again.

The initial install of the r1800 was via the download of the Epson driver.

From there set up the printer in Preferences so it would use the QuadToneRIP 2.7.7 Epson R1800 driver.

Checked and confirmed the install command line name is identical to the printer name (R1800-3MK). Ran the install command and at the end of the install, see the line, "Finished installing curves for R1800-3MK'.

Confirmed in Applications\Library\Printers\Quadtone\QuadR1800-3MK was listed and all files were there.

At Print-Tool the R1800-3MK is listed in the printer window and opening via Layout gives the QuadToneRIP option. Selecting that opens up the window for all of the QuadTone printing configurations. Except when selecting in Curves --'None' is checked.

The R1800 prints just fine in Print-Tool as a regular R1800 printer selecting 'Application Managed' workflow. Quitting Print-Tool and restarting did not make any headway on this. Also, ran the same curve in Windows QTR without any problems on the R1800, but do in the end prefer running via OSX.

Apologies in my earlier message I abbreviated some of the steps in the set up.

 A couple things:
 "Application/Library//Quad/Quad1800" doesn't make any
 sense.
The printer is R1800 not 1800 so printer name should be
 QuadR1800.The "R" and "P" on
printer models is important -- some numbers are reused by
 Epson.
If you created printer in preferences (not the
usual recommended way)you still need to run an
InstallR1800.command script to install curves for the
printer. The printer name and script name must
 match.
Just using script creates printer and installs
curves thus making sure you have the correct
 names.

Did you quite and re-start Print Tool after running the
Install command for the R1800? And then make sure you have
the Quad1800 chosen as your printer, not the Epson Stylo
 Photo 1800.

I can see all of the profiles in the
 Application/Library//Quad/ Quad1800
to confirm they were installed, but simply cannot access
 them in
 Print-Tool.
