efo, I know at least 2 people who are using the P800 with OEM inks and have no issue with banding; at least one of them is using QTR, which I know for certain because I make her profiles. I have seen the results and there is absolutely no banding. It may be that she just got lucky with her particular printer, or it may be the profile. Let me know if you are interested in more info.
