Thanks again, Tom. I tried converted a file to QTR-RGB-matte profile in Qimage and then opened it up in PS. It is indeed converted to an RGB file with the above profile embedded. I haven't used Create ICC with QTR yet, so I don't know how it fits into the scheme. Then when I'm ready to print to file in Qimage I'll use rgb-matte.icc as the printer icc in Qimage. I'll also save resampling and final sharpening for Qimage as I think it does a better job than just about anything else. Interpolation is Pyramid and the Smart Sharpen setting is at the default or lower depending the image. It would be nice to have a preview on that. > > I think Qimage converts the grayscale to RGB when you print to file. I really like the results. Now I'm unsure how I can fit Qimage into my workflow so I've been forced to use Photoshop for printing. > > Does anybody know if the image has to be grayscale when printing with a QTR-Create-ICC made profile? > > Tom > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Louis Dina > To: QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com > Sent: Sunday, November 13, 2005 7:34 AM > Subject: [QuadtoneRIP] Re: printing multiple images on one sheet > > > Thanks, Tom. > > So, let's say I have some saved grayscale tiffs in a gamma 2.2 > space.
