This is great news. Another big thank you.

Are we likely to see any see benefits from this new setting for older printers, like the 3880, 3800, R3000, R2880, R2000, R1900? Will a curve that is linear at the old 2880 setting still be linear at the new, or do we have to create new curves / relinearise?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
