Not sure where you got the notion of "bin" folder. That contains programs.
.qidf's are under Profiles and .quad's are under Quadtone. But Windows
also uses a folder under your home called AppData.
I'd install QTR normally under a new folder. Find your personal files and move
them into corresponding locations in new installation.

1) I cannot find existing qidf files.
2) I cannot save a new qidf file.
My old computer croaked and I have now reinstalled QTR and moved the "bin" folder into the new installation on the new computer.
Initially when I opened QTR it found all my previously saved qidf files and began using one of them.
However two weeks later I decided to use another one of the existing qidf files and those files no longer appear on the list. The actual qidf files are in the "bin" sub-folder, but they seem to be invisible to the program.
The second issue is that I cannot seem to save a new qidf.
When I attempt to do so what appears to be an error message appears.
The window that pops up is labeled QuadProfile Report.
Unfortunately, I cannot see the entire message in the window because it runs out of the window and the window will not resize. However, what it says is...
usage: qacv filename.acv curvenum>curve.out
C:\program Files (x86)\QuadToneRIP\bin\34e testcurve.acv did not return valid coordinates a quadprofile.pl line [the rest of this line is obscured]
Curve Creation failed.
Oddly, after the first attempt to save, the file name appears on the pulldown list in QTR and when I attempt to do a save as again it asks if I want to replace the file. When I click YES, I get the error message above.
However, there is no actual file in the bin folder.
I am stuck and have no idea what is going on/wrong.
Can anyone help?
Thanks, Jeff
