Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Yahoo Groups wither

I moderate a b/w and color print exchange group. We made the switch to groups.io. It was painless and we are glad that we did.

FWIW, seems a lot of groups I've been involved with for years have moved to grouups.io from Yahoo. Some years back, yahoo stripped out the ability to search messages by content, converting search to message #. Maybe that can be done some other way here, but to my experience, it's ceased to function. Groups.io seems to have content search, and that's useful often. I'm told conversion isn't painless, but maybe it's useful. Yahoo reportedly is ceasing to support groups the same way they gutted Flickr earlier (now disposed of). Something to think about if it hasn't been already. Up to the moderators of course, but just putting my two cents in that if you did it, I9;m on board.
