Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Yahoo Groups wither

I highly recommend groups.io for a direct 1-1 transfer from Yahoo to something more future-proof. Mark handled the EWF group switch well and there wasn’t too much hassle in going to that.

If a transition is wanted and more functionality is required (forum threads + social login + traditional list-serve + attachments, IMs, etc) I also highly recommend this open-source forum software Discourse that I run over at the inkjetmall forums. It can take mailman and yahoo historic post data and users. https://www.discourse.org. It’s taken the internet by storm lately and can act just like a list-serve if need-be.

Best,
Walker

Some groups moved their FILES and others seem to have dropped that functionality. I could see that for QuadRIP, it might serve a purpose Maybe there's a prospect? At least I didn't get my head bitten off (yet).
