I did it because of problems with high ink load on the glossy papers when making the GLOP curves. Since I add 60% GLOP over the entire image that adds a significant amount of ink, creating visible mottling unless you're very careful with the other inks. The prints I got with these curves looked really great though, I could hardly see the dither pattern even with only two inks. It seems the dither is much finer, with more detail on glossy papers than matte papers. The curves without GLOP are just the same curves with the Y channel removed. With the new base it should be possible to use higher ink loads and less GLOP. -- Daniel Staver http://daniel.staver.no > Will do Daniel.
