QTR-Quadtone RIP

Is there a way to make Quadtone recognize A4 paper when using Epson 
890.Custom setting will not let me set correct paper dimension with 
result that print is not centralized.Tried roll paper setting which 
did centralize once but trailed of printing before print was 
finished.I know that Quadtone will not let you set paper size larger 
than the printer can handle but the 890 can handle A4--as available in 
printer driver.Help required---ink & paper consumption is getting out 
of hand! Are the 1290 curves the same as the 890? If I set the 
printing model to 1290 will it work? Having finally found a RIP that 
works this minor hiccup is a pain in the ****.Any help much 
appreciated.
