Re: Crane Museo Silver Rag

2006-02-18 by nemoniemann

Hi Diane,

I beta tested the Silver Rag. Great paper when used with the Epson
4000 pigment inks, in color. I was never able to make a successful
profile for QTR B&W, using the Epson inks. You'll find you won't be
able to use it with Piezography inks. I made a great QTR test curve
and print with it. Never seen such black blacks with Piezography inks
(I'm still using the K4.) Unfortunately, the paper takes days to
propery dry, and even then, it's very delicate. I'd heard a couple of
guys had some success using a hair dryer and a couple days drying.

Haven't been as excited about a new paper in a long time.
