I have looked at the image you sent. It would appear that "Arcsoft" has not
properly filled in two required TIFF parameters: XResolution and YResolution.
These are the number of pixels per unit of the image width and length. The file
you sent had these values set to zero.
 
I will add a check in QTRgui to catch this error. Thanks for sending the file.

Stephen,
I sent you the photo I was having trouble with to your direct email 
address. After reading your suggestions I realized the image was 
converted to greyscale and saved as a Tiff from a Jpg image 
in "Arcsoft"
I tried again in photoshop and it works fine. Nice nuetral greys and 
Blacks. I then interpolated to 300dpi (from 72dpi)with Genuine 
Fractels and sharpened with a "NIK" plugin. It still works!

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
