For testing I print multiple small images on letter paper, one at a time. You have to arrange the small image on the paper so that the first one prints on the TRAILING edge of the sheet, and the next pass print up the sheet, until the last test is on the leading edge of the paper. This way the print head does not detect that the paper has been used (is dark) and will accept it. for smaller than 8x10 you can turn off paper size check, etc. Hmmm, haven't looked but maybe there is a "paper used check" or whatever it might be called to turn off?
