So what you are describing towards the end of the image is probably just the filling in of the bottom edge. It may not look like much is being printed. If you are getting ink smeared at the edges of paper that probably means the paper is not sitting flat. Curved and heavy papers can cause this, particularly at the end of a sheet where the rollers don't have as much to grab onto. Roy
