Ordered Dither is what I would recommend -- I'm just less sure of what artifacts may be possible with Hybrid. Are you also on a Mac? Have you upgraded to 10.4 recently and just started seeing this? I have recently found a small bug in the OSX 10.4 print system and I'm concerned that there may be others. Can be repeat the problem reliably?
