Hi Diane My guess is that you haven't received a response to your question because the question itself is not quite clear. I'm not quite sure what you're asking, but I'll take a guess and perhaps it will get the ball rolling. Since you are talking about QTRgui and Qimage, I assume you are using a PC. You can use PS and Qimage to prepare your image for printing. For example, you can use qimage to resize and/or assemble multiple images on a page. However in any case, PS or qimage must be used to create a .tif file that is then printed with QTRgui. You might want to check out the discussion on the BW printing with qimage on the BW printing list. There is may be some issues with the colour management of images in qimage that affect the print quality. As for toning images, I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you asking about adding colour to an otherwise BW image or creating an image within the range of tones (cool to warm) normally provided by QTR? There is no reliable way I know of to print a mixed colour and BW image using QTR, if that is what you're asking. The creation of toned prints (e.g. sepia) is done by blending curves in QTR. That's sort of fundamental and probably not what you are asking about, so if I haven't answered your questions you'll have to elaborate. I can sense your frustration in the lack of response from the list. In general, most list members are pretty helpful. If you don't get a response to a question, it's probably because it's not understood. When that happens, breaking the question down into separate simpler ones may generate a response and start a dialogue.
