Re: IPP install script for 3000

Gary

Thanks for the reply.

I updated the version of QTR and the new install procedure is much better and unifies the ipp and usb installers, so I can now speak to the printer. I know seem to have a big hill to climb so far as learning how to use it is concerned :0) I have default Epson inks in it which I am using up while I practice and going by the soggy piece of black paper I got with my first test print it seems that will not be too long :0)

I will be importing Paul's recommended set up from MIS later, when I am sure I will devote more time to it and the posts here will have much more meaning.

Meanwhile I have a question from when everyone gets back :0)

I have an ESP7500 which I use for just about everything and I have set up a Quad driver for it too. When I get my inks from MIS I shall be getting MISPro inks for this machine and my question is in two parts:

Will I be able to usefully use the printer for tonable black and white printing even though it will have a full colour set, for those occasions when the 3000 is inappropriate.

and

We print drawings on the 7500 and find that because we are currently using Fotonics the excess squirt of ink makes for heavy ink deposits. Am I right in thinking that I will be able to set up a new default which can control the amount of ink laid down?

Cheers

Drew

Drew, I posted my first eMail a few days ago, and I think everyone is one
vacation.

I write this because, my question is about the 3000 and the evaluation QTR,
also.

They will need to know what OS versions are networked.
