Great news, I too had a successful weekend with my first attempts with QTR - the results were way way better than with the Epson driver. So many thanks to Daniel Staver and Tom Moore. I am in tweaking mode now and have got into avc files but I am at the moment puzzled by the curves that you can see by right clicking on a profile. What do they tell you and what shape should a good one have? I think the Y axis is the ink density limit and the X axis print tonal range? ----- Original Message ----- From: Larry To: QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, October 11, 2006 1:20 AM Subject: [QuadtoneRIP] First QTR effort won I was pulling my hair out trying to get a neutral B&W print on an Epson 2200 so I downloaded QTR and taught myself how to use it by flipping through about 3000 archived messages. My first QTR attempt was a portrait that I entered in a local juried competition and it won a ribbon. Thanks to everyone who contributed to those 3000 messages.
