RE: [QuadtoneRIP] Re: NoBlack profiles 2100

The MIS Pro inkset is a color inkset and has only one gray ink, like the
original Ultrachrome inkset.

The UT7 inkset has two carbon gray inks and two cool toner inks. This
primarily gives smoother highlights. The UT7 inkset also has MUCH less
bronzing and gloss differential on glossy papers than the Ultrachrome inkset
or the MIS PRO inkset. It's comparable to what you will get with the new KR
inkset in the new Epson 2400 and x800 printers. If you add gloss optimizer
in the yellow position even the little gloss differential that's left is
removed.

I don't print much color anymore, so I prefer to use a dedicated BW inkset
in my printer. The UT7 inks has worked reliably for me for a long time now,
and I've built a collection of profiles for the papers I use most, so I'm
reluctant to switch to anything else.

It's easy to switch the cartridges back and forth. You will need to print a
few sheets of yellow when you switch to GLOP to get rid of the yellow tone.
