Steve: The problem I was describing relates to a "clean" install (no files no registry entries)and it still exists with 2.4.3.15. When I used File --> Select Image, QTR looked for "My Pictures" folder in the C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents (which wasn't there and thus the error message). I created a dummy "My Documents" folder under "My Documents" and QTR opened the dummy folder. I then deleted the dummy folder (without navigating to another folder), and QTR opened My Desktop looking for images, but at least no error message.
