I have just reinstalled QTRGui on my PC. Whenever I try to open a file from File --> Select Image, I get 'Error setting path: "F:\"'. I could find no method to change paths and there was no CFG file. Help anyone? Rich

QTR was looking for a "My Pictures" folder in C:\Document and Settings\me\My Documents. I got around it by creating a dummy "My Documents" folder at the specified place. I then deleted the dummy folder once QTR found it. The next time I used File - -> Select Image, QTR opened my Desktop. jr

Also, get the most recent version from the QTRgui WEB page. This has fixed a problem with path handling. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

Steve: The problem I was describing relates to a "clean" install (no files no registry entries)and it still exists with 2.4.3.15. When I used File --> Select Image, QTR looked for "My Pictures" folder in the C:\Documents and Settings\me\My Documents (which wasn't there and thus the error message). I created a dummy "My Documents" folder under "My Documents" and QTR opened the dummy folder. I then deleted the dummy folder (without navigating to another folder), and QTR opened My Desktop looking for images, but at least no error message. I then navigated to my image folder and from that point forward QTR remembered my last opened image folder. jr --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen Billard" <stephen@...> wrote:

OK, but the problem is still fixed in version 2.4.3.15 which is the latest version. If the folder does not exist it defaults to the desktop with no error. By the way, the folder name it was looking for is the one that Windows supplied when QTRgui asked where your "My Documents" folder was located. If you have changed that without "informing" Windows, other applications will also get confused. -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

I then navigated to my image folder and QTRgui works as as advertised including remembering the last open folder. jr --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen Billard" <stephen@...> wrote: > > Already did. > > > -Stephen > www.sbillard.org/Stephen Yahoo! I can't recreate it on version 2.4.3.15. Are you sure? -Stephen www.sbillard.org/Stephen

Neither can I. I don't know what I was doing to create the behavior. Sorry for being a bother. jr --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "Stephen Billard" <stephen@...> wrote:
