Jeff, I had/have a similar problem, the cursor sticks in hourglass mode and I was even unable to drag the window, or use the X and underscore in the upper right to manipulate the window or close the application. So, I installed QTR on my laptop, and it was fine. And I drew the conclusion that my Windows XP install on my desktop was bad (even though I don't have the problem with anything else.) I'm in the process of doing a reinstall, and so far QTR is fine on that partition. Linda
