Thanks for the response.  Actually, I am so new that I am not sure if I am
responding to Guy or the group by sending a reply.  If I have done it wrong,
sorry.

The questions your raised points out that I know even less than I thought.
I am not sure what profile is assigned when I send to print.  It is
grayscale and .tiff.  I did so a soft proof using view>custom>Epson Enhanced
matt.  The darks looks more dense and the whites a bit brighter.  I am
pleased with the neurtrality of the print.  No colors or tints seen.  That
is the first time it has looked that way.  I have not profiled the monitor
because I am getting a new one and it sounds like a big job if you don't
have the equipment or maybe I need to get the equipment.
