Re: X-Rite Pulse L* values

2007-01-05 by Jamie Creed

Hi Roman

entering L values in the Linearization section of the curve creation
in QTR works fine for me, as the help file explains, start from the
highest value first (in your case: 96.76) and work down. Initially,
save your readings as a text file or as an excel file and use the
copy and paste facility. I tend to save all the Lab values, so I can
see what the a and b values are doing (via a simple excel graph.)

Since you have a Pulse you might like to have a look at 2 free
downloads from the X-Rite website, they are: Colorport and
XKey/Toolcrib, I use these to great effect with the Pulse,

good luck, Jamie.

using Colorshop X in the Color Scratchpad was a way to to pull up an
L* value by individual readings for the 21step wedge for
linearization. The values as the Pulse gives me in L* are for the
lightest patch 96.76 and the darkest 16.11. These values are
numerically different than those required for placing the
linearization values. Is there a conversion table I need to use or
is there a different way to pull up the L* numbers with the Pulse?
Thanks.
