When you print a target for either QTR linearization or Create-ICC you must select "No Color Management" (previous versions said "Save As Source"). Without color management the source target embedded profile is not used so its not important. (It is important that you don't convert it in any way. The K values should be 0,5,10,...90,95,100). The resultant ICC is not "for GG2.2" or anything else. It's just a function of the output driver. The idea of CM is to be able to convert any source profile into the output printing profile. The Gray Matte ICC profile is a generic ICC that matches the standard linearization that QTR uses. So it's a pretty good match to any QTR generated curve. I think it's probably fairly good with the piezo K7 profiles but they were created by piezo and potentially are slightly different in linearization.
