QTR-Quadtone RIP

every time I try to import an image to print, I get the message - Error setting
path,  F/... - this then refers to the last image printed.  
Since making that print I have moved the corresponding file to a different
folder.
I have tried uninstalling and re-downloading, but the settings always reappear
as they were before uninstalling.
I am using Windows 2000 and downloaded Quadtone RIP 2.4.3.10 a week ago.
Grateful of any suggestions please!  Very frustrating not being able to print!!
