Steve, Don't know the answer but just wanted to let you know I'm 
experiencing the same thing.  I'm running WinXP with Athlon 64.  Error msg 
just started also.  Am new to QTRGui and if I continue experiencing this 
I'll do some research.  Doesn't really keep me from getting good print but 
just an irritation.  I'll keep your email in case I come up with a solution
