Hi Zissimos, You should not have to convert the image in Photoshop - I have gotten great results by just saving the image as a tiff file in Photoshop. Other settings don't seem to matter much - 8-bit and 16- bit, "Real" greyscale and "RGB" greyscale (where R=G=B) work equally well. I have not encountered the same problem as you are experiencing, though admittedly the smallest paper I've used is Letter size, which I understand is a bit larger than A5. - Are you using a PC or Mac? Which version of QTR are you using? -Matt --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, "Zisis Kardianos" <zissimos@...> wrote: > > Hi all, > > I used Matt's curves and got very good tonality results. > I haven't blend the curves yet, just used one at a time at 100%. > I would like to ask, since I remain a bit confuesd on tha matter, do I > have to convert in PS to any QTR profile same as QTRGrayLab etc or > simply leave the image as 8bit grayscale tiff and just apply the curves? > > And one more thing.
