Steve, The problem is that there are no curves at all for that printer/ink combination. Without curves QTR has absolutely no idea what ink is loaded into the printer so you get the "dark prints". Making curves would require a good measuring device and some work. There is a way however to get a bit of a preview and start. There are curves for the UT7 inkset for the 2200, they won't be perfect but worth a try. Drag the 2100-2200-UT7 folder from the download in Profiles to a place on your disk drive (Desktop is good). You'll see an "Install2200-UT7" in the folder, rename it to Install9600-UT7 i.e. just change the printer model number in the filename. Now you can run it (double-click) to set up a Quad9600-UT7 printer and the curves/profiles. The main issue is that the ink limits are a bit high for a 9600 so when you print look for the Advanced Adjustments, turn them on and set Ink Limits to about -30. Feel free to experiment with this value. I'm not sure how well this will work but I think it'll get you close.
