I've been having a similar problem on my 1280 connected to a PC. I've been trying to make curves for a new paper this week. I've been printing consecutive 21-step test images on a single sheet of letter-size (8.5"x11") paper (QTR settings: premium glossy photo paper, 1440 super, uni-directional, ordered dither). Everything was going fine until yesterday, when I couldn't print the test image below about 3.5" from the top of the page. I created a long, thin, vertical test image, about 1" wide by 9" long and tried to print it using the same settings as for the curve creation tests. The printer stopped printing about 3.5" down the paper and ejected the paper. If I change the paper size to 8"x10", the printer stops printing about 6.5" down the paper. If I print the same image from Photoshop using the Epson driver, two things happen: 1) I no longer have a choice of dpi settings under Print Quality I only have "Economy", "Normal", .. "Best Photo", etc. 2) Printing stops at about 7.125". Something is obviously screwed up. Except for an MIS Inks purge pattern that I auto-print nightly to keep the nozzles clear, I have been using QTR exclusively for the last couple of weeks (version 2.5.0.9 of the GUI). I have not reinstalled the Epson driver or made any other changes to the OS (Windows XP Pro). So, I restarted Windows and turned the printer off and back on. Now QTR prints as I expect it to, but the Epson driver from Photoshop still does not give me access to dpi settings. Any clues, anybody? Terence Lowe.
