If it's not off topic, I don't really understand how to produce split tone set ups: what tone where, what dilution, etc... Do you care providing some details. As it comes to my mind you'd set sepia for the quarter and mid tones and swith to selenium for 3/4 tones and shadows, but it looks a bit simplistic. I'm expecting K7 PK to change my old Piezotone set up and I'll sure look into split tone set ups. Thanks. Olivier That was a response to a previous poster whose images were (IMO) more suitable to Split K 7 than NK 7. It is probably better to start with NK 7 inks and make judgements from the neutral tone. It's tricky, and the choices are emotional rather than logical. K7 is MK so far, although Jon is working on a PK inkset. What I did was to experiment on my 2200's to decide what tone suited a particular image best. It is very quick and easy to switch inks on a 2200 at each position, so I have 3 sets of inks and I'm ordering a 4th in Carbon Sepia. When I find a combination that floats my boat. I match the set in my 4000 and make the prints in batches. HTH Richard (Brooklyn) ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com.
