QTR-Quadtone RIP

I have contacted Roy Harrington and Cone Editions but I have not had any luck, the inks 
are very disappointing, I was getting better results using the Ultrachrome inks....What 
now....?
They claim this is a plug and play system, doesn't seem that way. I agree that resolution 
and smoothness are amazing but the midtones look awful and flat unless you bump the 
image over the top in photoshop and then you start to get half decent results...
