Don,

Here's some info i received. It made all the difference to me.
Best of Luck
Joe

Hi Joe,

The banding is probably caused by one of two different things (or both):

1.. Missing nozzles in the nozzle check pattern will leave gaps in your
print, giving you white banding. Print a “manual” nozzle check pattern, and
look at it carefully for missing, or misplaced horizontal lines.
2.. Print head needs to be aligned to the paper you’re using. You can use
either side of the Epson paper, as long at it’s the right thickness.

Also, you should be feeding the paper from either the top (normal) paper
tray, or from the back paper feed slot. Apparently, feeding the paper from
the front of the printer can give problems.

Finally, if your print speed or quality setting is set to “faster” or
“bidirectional,” change it to “better,” or “unidirectional.”

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks,
Jeff
