Joe, Thanks for your ideas. I tried them, but I'm still getting the horizontal banding. 1. All the head alignments have been done using Crane Silver Rag. 2. The manual nozzle check examined with a loupe looks perfect to me. 3. When I print the 21 step gray scale with the Epson driver or ColorBurstRip, no horizontal banding appears. Only QTR seems to have this problem. This makes me think it is a paper feed adjustment problem. 4. The banding is worst at 2880, unidirectional. Both shadows and midtones are effected. The same problem occurs with MK inks on matte papers, but to a lesser extent. 5. At 1440super unid', the banding is evident in the lighter midtones, not so bad in the darker midtones or the shadows. If I can't solve this problem, I'll reprofile for 1440super. Any other thoughts? Don --- In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, Joe Szabo <js@...> wrote: > > Don, > > Here's some info i received.
