...also, when you've shut it down, unplug it and leave it that way for 10 minutes or so. 2200 seems to me to behave a LOT like old Win 98 machines, memorywise. That may just be superstition. The point is to let it clear it's foolish little head. If I were you, I'd also put some trash paper into it, anticipating that it wants to print when you boot it back up. I don't know of any way to clear the printer's own memory without letting it waste ink but perhaps letting it sit UNPLUGGED longer than an hour or three would let it lose some sort of volatile memory. There, that sounds almost like this is real science doesn't it? No? John .
