I'm on a mac running 10.4.8. QTR spools to my 2200 begins to print and then just shoots the paper out. Print Center says the job was completed but nothing prints. I've uninstalled, reinstalled but nothing seems to help. I'm printing out of CS3 so then I tried CS but same thing happens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Try turning the printer and computer off for 5 or 10 minutes then turn on the printer then the computer and see if that clears it up. Walt

Not the first time but then I unplugged the printer also from the wall and waited and all is well. Thank you so much.

Well, it worked once but now it is doing the same thing as before. In QuadtoneRIP@yahoogroups.com, wkm@... wrote: > > Try turning the printer and computer off for 5 or 10 minutes then turn on the printer then the computer and see if that clears it up.

...also, when you've shut it down, unplug it and leave it that way for 10 minutes or so. 2200 seems to me to behave a LOT like old Win 98 machines, memorywise. That may just be superstition. The point is to let it clear it's foolish little head. If I were you, I'd also put some trash paper into it, anticipating that it wants to print when you boot it back up. I don't know of any way to clear the printer's own memory without letting it waste ink but perhaps letting it sit UNPLUGGED longer than an hour or three would let it lose some sort of volatile memory. There, that sounds almost like this is real science doesn't it? No? John .

I on the other hand have a really hard time knowing where to respond on this type of message. I want to write at the top and I think I'm supposed to respond at the bottom. Oh well, I'm trying - is the point. Thank you.

I've seen some 2200s start to have more problems feeding heavy paper as they age and wear. You might try some cheap paper to see if that feeds correctly. If so you may need to manually load the heavier paper. Roy

It actually feeds and starts to print 2 passes, than thinks it has completed the job and shoots the paper out. I have no feed problems when using the standard driver.

Another issue -- do you have both firewire and USB plugged in at the same time? Both plugged in gives unpredictable results. Roy
