I would like to put in one more plug for the 3800. Certainly, if a person uses roll paper extensively the 3800 is not the printer. I used my 2200 for 4 years and never had the roll feeder on it. I do occasionally print up to 30 inches in length by cutting paper to size from a roll and using a user defined size. I do the same with the 3800. You can define custom sizes up to 17" x 37". It works fine, but only if you need the long prints occasionally. It prints up to 13 inches wide and takes roles. You can use the standard inkset or swap out for a quadtone/BW inkset. The 3800 is more money, but I understand its a good deal because the ink cartridges are so much bigger--and you can switch between photo and matte blacks without swapping out and loosing ink--but it doesn't take rolls.
