You need to create a paper size that is horizontal. I.e. instead of width = 16in and length = 24, must be width = 24 and length = 16in. The way to think of it is: width is always across the width of the printer. length is always the feed direction. Then "portrait" is always straight out, "landscape" is always rotate 90 degrees.
