The standard ICC softproofing does not have any notion of blending sliders. So there's basically no way to "preview" the blending sliders. (also these are part of the driver not something visible to Photoshop). So you need to make several small test prints to see the tones and pick what you like. In general I spend some time deciding the slider values I like, then save them in a Preset so I can use them over and over again.
