i've read somewhere that one advantage to 2880 is a higher dmax with 
more ink in the shadow areas.  don't know if that principle only 
applies to certain papers and inks and if piezo k7 selenium would 
respond or not but it sounds like a reasonable hypothesis.  you just 
need to do some testing, i guess.
