QTR-Quadtone RIP

I'm running MIS 3MK inks on a R1800 under Mac OS X 10.4.11 using
QuadToneRip 2.5.2.  The R1800 is directly attached to the computer (a
MacBook Pro); I say that because normally attached to MacPro and the
MacBookPro accesses it as a shared printer.  

When trying to print, the printer responds and paper goes through the
printer but there is nothing on the paper (Epson Enchaned Matte).  I
note that this also happens when the R1800 is attached to MacPro
running 10.5.2.
