QTR-Quadtone RIP

Hi Folks

Trying to help a friend install QTR on a MAC but I have no idea of
operating system or its foibles. Our problem is that we have loaded
QTR and the patch but can't get to the part where we install the
specific printer and inkset. We can select Quad7800 in the printer
pane, when we try and load a curve into the curves 1, 2 or 3 they are
just blank! Any help greatly appreciated.
