Hi Tim, I'm far from being much of a Windows expert -- especially W 2000. But there haven't been any significant changes to how QTR works on Windows for a very long time so I don't know why it should be different. There are the usual suspects -- disk fragmentation and very large files. Also since my main machine is a Mac I only use my Windows XP occasionally but periodically it gets super slow and if I look at Task Manager it's the virus checker doing who knows what -- it uses 100% of cpu for an hour. I'd check the Task Manager and see what processes are using the CPU and how much disk I/O is being done.
