-Hi,  I was just having the same problem and the solution is to close the "Instrument 
Configuration" box.  This will allow you to use the "Measuring" tool in Profilemaker.  
However, your problems are not yet over.  See my post #6437.  There is another post 
relating to same problems, without much help form users.  It is post # 5571.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
