Re: [QuadtoneRIP] Lightroom on Mac and Grey Profiles

2008-06-11 by James Haney

I use the same process to print from Lightroom on the Mac.

It works fine. I can see very, very minor differences between a file
printed via Photoshop and via Lightroom. (After 5 minutes looking at
two prints as close to my face as my eyes could focus, I noticed a
that tones between 98-100% separated slightly differently, but this is
only evident when comparing output of identical files and there is not
enough difference to worry about. (And I am very picky.)

I now use photoshop to print work proofs, then final images are
"cropped" to the necessary size and printed via Lightroom. This has
really improved the printing experience. I either print an image to a
print template in LR, or I make a virtual copy to a specific crop
dimension and print from there.
