The gibberish comes from selecting a printer model driver that is incompatible with the printer you are using. I assume when you said "2880 printer name" you have a new Epson R2880 printer. If so, this printer is not yet supported so you can't have picked a matching printer driver. However as it turns out the R2880 printer is very compatible with the R2400 printer that it replaces. So you might try use printer model QuadR2400. The profiles ought to be a bit different since there are new inks but with the blending you make find decent results.
