I do not know about the non-centered images, it did not happen with my
1800.

However, a word of caution about luster/glossy paper: The matte ink is
not meant for those, so it will not really bond to the luster paper,
it will scratch very easily.
I'd be worried about the long-term stability of the image.

You'll notice, if you use hi-quality papers, that in general the 3MK
inks are more delicate, in terms of scratching.
I really do recommend finishing the prints.
